Description
***PLEASE FEEL FREE TO MESSAGE IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE UNIT OR INSTALLATION***This listing is for a
non-catalytic
wood stove with 3 indoor pipe/duct kit options:
1.) Stove to Ceiling - 6" Black Pipes (to be installed to the ceiling directly above)
2.) Stove to Wall - 6" Black Pipes (to be installed to the wall behind the stove)
3.) No Pipes, should you already have one installed or would like to purchase your own style & size of of piping.
After selecting your indoor piping from our drop down menu above, you'll also need to purchase a separate chimney kit. This kit type will depend on whether you're installing the indoor piping through the ceiling (cathedral or flat ceiling?) or through the wall.
Being that there are a lot of components involved,
we recommend hiring a professional wood stove installer
near you so that they can ensure that your installation components and procedures are to code which would minimize the dangers involved in a faulty installation. However, if you feel very DIY, then feel free to take a look at the diagram images that'll show you the components that makes up the chimney for wall or ceiling installations.

My Personal Experience
this specific 2100 Escape wood stove model from Drolet is quite phenomenal in that it's a powerful unit heating up to an advertised 2700 sqft. However, like all their models that I've used, along with most stoves I would imagine, I'd be more conservative to say more in the range of 2400 sqft space.
As for design, compared to other stoves, this is aesthetically one of the most minimalistic, yet more beautiful stoves to me. The price point is just perfect and the unit is straight forward and very easy to use. Unlike the catalytic models which doesn't guarantee to be any more efficient, costs more, and a bit more to maintain as you have to clean or change out the catalytic unit periodically.
Further, the ash drawer in the pedestal makes the "pedestal" wood stove version a lot lower maintenance than the wood stoves with legs. In wood stove models with legs, despite slightly being cuter imo, the easier maintenance to me when having a pedestal model with an ash drawer far outweighs the difference in aesthetic. For example, in the models with legs, you would need a shovel to scoop out the ashes in tight spaces frequently which leads to spills almost every time despite how slow I seem to go, whereas the ash drawer in the pedestal can simply be removed to dump. This also does not require you to purchase a separate ash bucket which is extra cost and takes up more space.

SHIPPING IS FREE
and is shipped from Quebec Canada. However, if you live in a remote plot of land with difficult accessibility, then there may be a surcharge which we will inform you before we ship the item. Due to inventory level inconsistencies, shipping timeframe ranges from
3-5 weeks
. Practically, the closer you order to fall/winter, the higher the chance of us selling out hence we recommend our customers to order during the summer so that you'll have time to not only receive the item but also plan out the installation. When we had installed this unit, because we didn't plan the installation accordingly during our renovation, the unit sat there for a few months prior to our actual installation. That said, if you plan to install it this winter, I recommend purchasing around the end of summer!
